The Franklin/Merrill Hill program is an alternative school that has provided an alternative education for students who, for whatever reason, have been unsuccessful in a traditional classroom.
We are a program of Edward Little High School but operate as a stand-alone middle/high school; we occupy a separate building and have our own campus, staff and school policies.
Franklin teaches grades 7-12 with a heavy emphasis on core classes (math, English, social studies, science, health/physical education) and provides a means to graduation through alternative programming--such as offering work study credit, sewing, cooking, welding, or enrollment in courses at Edward Little or the Lewiston Regional Technical Center.
Franklin staff and students are committed to upholding Safe School Culture, meaning we believe each have the right to feel SAFE socially, emotionally, physically, professionally and academically, and the responsibility to allow others to feel that way as well. |
