Ocean Avenue Elementary School is the newest school in Portland opening to 440 students this fall. It has 23 classrooms, including two district wide self-contained special education programs.
What makes our school special? Ocean Ave School is a supportive and collaborative community where students and learning are at the center of our focus. We are able to use our staff strategically to meet the needs of all of our students. Ocean Avenue School uses Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) to create procedures and routines for all students. Our PBIS school-wide rules are: We are Responsible, We are Respectful, and We are Safe. Our school has state of the art technology in each classroom with document cameras, smart boards, and LCD projectors. |
