Welcome to Sanford Community Adult Education (SCAE)!
SCAE is one of the largest, most dynamic adult education programs in Maine. SCAE works with over 1500 enrollments each year in a variety of programs up to and including academic high school diploma/equivalency, college transitions, enrichment/community education, vocational training, and much more.
Sanford schools are successful because our parents, teachers, staff and community set high expectations and do a remarkable job working together to support our students. Our staff members engage themselves in professional development opportunities to enhance their skills as teachers, educational technicians, and administrators. We are fortunate to live in a community that supports education and the exceptional work performed in our schools.
Sanford-Springvale is located in southern Maine in York County, just 12 miles from I-95, 35 miles from the culturally diverse cities of Portland, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and only 90 miles north of Boston.
Sanford-Springvale offers a quality of life that is uniquely small town; balanced by a strong industrial and retail base that guarantee both strong employment opportunities and extensive consumer choices typically found only in much larger cities.
