Job Description
The Sanford School Department is seeking a talented individual to provide part time, year-round custodial support at Margaret Chase Smith Elementary School. This is a 20 hour per week, 2nd shift position (a schedule of hours between 3 pm and ending no later than 11 pm can be accommodated - a typical shift might be 3 pm to 7 pm, 4pm to 8 pm, etc.). These hours may be adjusted when school is not in session.
Benefits include paid holidays, sick time, and personal time as well as school provided uniforms and an annual shoe allowance. Additional hours may be available on special occasions.
FURTHER NOTE: This is a school year only position; summer hours available if desired.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Current Maine CHRC (fingerprinting) or ability to obtain
Previous experience as a custodian preferred, including knowledge and handling of required materials, supplies and equipment
Experience in a school setting helpful
Ability to work alone or as part of a team and interact successfully with all ages
Dependable and honest as well as detail oriented
Flexible in responding to the changing needs of the district (i.e. hours, locations, duties, etc.)
- Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
