Sanford Middle School is looking for a special educator to instruct a life skills focused special education classroom for grades 6-8. Responsibilities include providing direct instruction for reading, writing and math with incorporation of functional life skills. Supervision of ed-techs is also a requirement. The qualified candidate should have experience writing/implementing IEPs, administering evaluations, keeping regular progress monitoring notes, communicating with parents and developing/implementing behavior plans. Given that there is a supervision component and other life skills classes, strong collaboration skills are required.
