Job Description

Before/After School Child Care Assistant – 30-40 hrs/week
Do you love kids and enjoy working with them, but don't want all the stress and extra hours that come with being a teacher? Then come work with us!

Minimum Qualifications:
•Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience
•High energy
•Ability to work well with others
•Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
•A strong understanding of child development
•Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
•High school diploma or GED.
•CPR & First Aid certification (will pay for)
•Must clear full background check


Pay: $17.00/hr, eligible for sick days and course reimbursement

Program Location: Park Avenue Elementary School

Work Hours:
Monday – Friday 6:30AM to 8:30AM, 2:30PM – 5:45PM
Half-day Wednesdays 1:00 PM – 5:45PM
Must work snow days, teacher workshop days, and school vacations.

    Location Description

    The mission of Auburn's Before & After School Childcare Program is to meet the broad social, academic and physical needs of students in a before and after school setting, in a collaborative way. This occurs through positive adult-child interactions and opportunities for cooperation, academic time and creative play.
