Job Description
The Sanford School Department is seeking a talented individual to provide full time, year-round custodial support. This is a 40 hour per week, 3rd shift position that begins at 11pm and ends at 7am ( Sun-Fri.) with a 20 minute paid lunch break. The hours may be adjusted when school is not in session. Benefits include paid holidays, sick time, personal time and vacation as well as paid health and long-term disability insurance with access to dental insurance and retirement through Maine Public Employees Retirement System as well as school provided uniforms and an annual shoe allowance according to the terms of the Custodial Union Contract. Overtime is available on a rotating basis.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Current Maine CHRC (fingerprinting) or ability to obtain
Previous experience as a custodian preferred, including knowledge and handling of required materials, supplies and equipment
Experience in a school setting helpful
Ability to work alone or as part of a team and interact successfully with all ages
Dependable and honest as well as detail oriented
Flexible in responding to the changing needs of the district (i.e. hours, locations, duties, etc.)
- Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
