Responsible for working directly with the head coach to oversee daily practices and competitions. This could involve supervising off campus runs, workouts, or team gatherings. May assume the managerial responsibilities of attendance and other record keeping responsibilities at times. An assistant coach is also responsible for upholding and promoting the team’s philosophy and cultural expectations. (Please see the following mission statement) “The Noble High School Cross Country team strives to provide a close knit culture in which athletes can learn the fundamentals and discipline of distance running. Athletes will be held to a high standard of athletic and interpersonal success, while conditioning the skills of goal setting, perseverance, leadership, and teamwork.” Knowledge, Skills, & Preferred Experiences: Suitable candidates must have a strong motivation to work with student athletes to help them reach their potential athletically, academically, and in their personal lives. Candidates must be comfortable working directly with athletes, their families and the surrounding school community. Seeking a candidate who is goal oriented, has great attention to detail, is always looking to improve and expand upon their coaching and teaching skills, and can work with others with ease. Direct experience in either Cross Country or Track & Field is strongly preferred.
